3 Benefits of Managing Our Time Wisely

Good morning, Kingdom Timekeepers! It is a beautiful day to share the benefits of time management in our business. It's not only choosing the "perfect" planner, but what we do with those planners.

A lot of times, our minds are scattered because we haven't taken the time to declutter it. If we don’t, we are not making room for new ideas, systems, and frameworks that can help us move our business in the direction that we want it to go. When we take a look at our calendar, we can physically see what's available to us. This causes us not to give in to excuses (see the Parable of the Dinner, Luke 14:16-24, AMP).

We often say we don’t have time, but the reality is that we don’t make time for what really matters yet, we scroll social media mindlessly for hours, causing us to waste more time (Proverbs 6:6-11, AMP). Time that we can't get back.

At Kingdom Timekeepers, we look at the big picture by asking questions that can open the eyes to the realities of letting time pass by that only generates regrets in the long run. Ask yourselves these questions:

1️⃣ Why am I scrolling mindlessly on social media? What am I avoiding?
2️⃣ Do I really want my life to get better? If so, why am I not taking the initiative?
3️⃣ What can I do today to get me closer to where I want to be?
4️⃣ Am I avoiding spending time with God? Why?
5️⃣ Be honest with yourself here: Am I happy? If not, why not? This requires some deep soul searching.

See, time management is more than allocating tasks into dedicated dates and times. It’s about making room for what matters most, and live intentionally. There has to be a reason behind everything that we do. And this can give us the clarity that we need, and the open doors we were hoping to open for us for so long.

Here are 3️⃣ benefits for managing your time wisely ⤵️

1️⃣ You can see everything at a glance.

This is perfect because this way, we will get a snapshot of what our schedule looks like. We can see whether we blocked out time for emergencies, for self-care, even to sit quietly and be under God's presence and be grateful and thankful.

2️⃣ You will not overbook yourself.

Sometimes we are quick to answer or commit without looking at our calendar. One of the main purposes of managing your time is to get in the habit of picking up our agenda or calendar and see what's ahead. It is less likely to overbook ourselves when we know what's on our calendar.

3️⃣ We will see our accomplishments and our pitfalls.

We should not be so harsh on ourselves when we experience pitfalls. This is an indication that something happened along the way that couldn't be taken care of that moment. Maybe we got distracted. Maybe we felt anxious and overwhelmed. Whatever the case may be, meditate on what happened, weigh the pros and cons of when we accomplished something versus when we didn’t. This should motivate us to adjust our schedule accordingly, not have a sense of guilt.

Isaiah 43:18-19 (AMP): "Do not remember the former things, or ponder the things of the past. Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness, rivers in the desert."
