Have you ever felt like there's always a new app releasing? Have you noticed that every time we log on to social media someone is pitching a new productivity app that we must have? Do you know what the issue is? Find out below, and check out the ones I've been using for years.

Introduction

Everywhere we turn, someone is recommending an app. The issue is not the recommendation, it's our giving in to these things because someone so highly recommended it. My aim for this blog post is to share with you ideas available at no cost to you and help you reach your goals.

Now, let me share my opinion regarding business and these ideas, especially if you're just starting out. I made mistakes for so many years in the beginning of my business journey, and these are the lessons I learned along the way that I'm passing to you today. My intention is that you don't make the same mistakes I did.

If we want to see results, then we need to make adjustments to see that happen. Some changes may include mindset shifts and habits we've adopted from years ago that may be difficult to break. But once we make the effort to discern what gives us peace and what doesn't, we will create systems that will work in our favor.

In The Beginning: We Need to Be Fruitful and Multiply

When we begin a business, we start at zero. We look at our finances, and we have nothing. Just a desire to start a business that produces income so we don't have to live the way we're living. We want a better life not only for us, but for our family as well. Does this relate to you? I think we can all relate to this.

There is a need to be fruitful and multiply. God called us to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28), but He will never tell us to try a business as a hustle (rush), instantly, blindly, or without careful consideration.

Social media has so much impact in our decision making, and that may cause us to make fast decisions that, in the long run, may hurt us, if we're not careful.

Why am I sharing this when this blog post is about free resources? Because social media influences our purchasing habits that may imorove or destroy our business, and we need to be wise about this.

There are times that we need to go the opposite direction from what the world is telling us to go. For instance, the Lord led me to go the opposite direction of what others are using as blogging platforms.

He also directed me to focus on YouTube (mainly), and take advantage of all YouTube has to offer (posts, podcast, community, long and short-form content delivery, etc), and focus on that one platform. Why? Because it is less overwhelming.

You may be asking yourself, “How is this going to help me be consistent and get results? For starters, God knows everything we need (Matthew 6:8). I think He's been showing me (again!) what I've been hearing for years, “Focus on one platform and go hard at it.” Did I listen back then? No! I thought I knew what I was doing. Now I get why I'm back to square one: structure, patience, and peace.

Do you want a business that is fruitful, multiplies, is sustainable, and gives you peace? If you said yes, it starts with a humble attitude, a grateful and thankful heart, and having systems in place. Let's talk about those.

Systems: Having Order in Your Business

When I first had the thought of starting a business, I followed a gazillion people who made it in the network marketing (direct selling) industry that offered freebies. I thought of putting together a nice 3-ring binder full of free printables from all these people that I never ended up using. But one thing for sure is that there's nothing wrong with free printables when you are starting your business.

This is why I decided to write this blog post because I have a few free resources I want to share with you today. But before I do that, let me share with you why this is valuable.

As Kingdom Timekeepers, we are entrusted with God's resources and we want to honor Him with what He has given us. This can be time, money, and any other resource.

There are people, who like me, offer free printables to help people in their business journey. These are fantastic tools to take advantage of and create a binder to keep them organized and in one place, but guess what? If we keep them in the binders and never use them, that's where the problem lies.

I never used them in my business!

So, this type of behavior is not acceptable because all I was doing was collecting freebies that I never used. This, believe me or not, is a type of mishandling of resources given to us.

Today, we're going to look at free resources from a different perspective. Let's begin with free resources that will help you create systems.

Digital Tools For Creating Systems

There are plenty of free digital tools out there that help us organize and be “productive.”

But God showed me how to choose the most unconventional and unorthodox things and use them to my advantage if I want to make an impact in this world.

Sometimes God will direct you in the opposite direction from everyone else, and use tools that people have forgotten about to get us away from “the noise.” This is the place where we will find peace.

I'm going to share with you 3 digital tools to use in your business that are totally free, and you can continue using them even if you scale your business. Plus, I will give you a Bonus tool I created to organize yourself and your business.

Let's begin.

Tool #1: Google Products

The majority of the tools I use are found in Google. I used to be part of the statistics of the group of people who dive into shiny objects because someone else said “it was a great tool” or “I had to have it.”

Consumerism is a real thing. And if we continue giving in, we'll find ourselves in bondage with that thing. Investopedia (2025) states that consumer spending consistently makes up 70% of the US economy.

If we are not careful, we can get deeper into the pit of overspending if we're not already there. Google Products like Google Doc, Google Blogger, Google Calendar, and many other apps within the Google space, are free to use. Why not take advantage of that?

Tool #2: Google Blogger

There are so many free platforms out there that we can choose from, but these platforms may have limitations as any other products offered at no cost. We want to avoid the pressure that says, “You have to have it now!”

I dove into this coercion to find out I needed to purchase more products in order for the website to function like those influencers that have made it into the “business world.” I felt anxiety rise and more money was spent. There is a difference between investing and spending. They are not the same.

Spending is like eating your lunch. You consume it right away, and it's gone. You get immediate satisfaction, but you don't expect that sandwich to magically turn into more sandwiches later. It fulfills a present need or want.

Investing is more like planting a seed. You put something into the ground now, hoping it will grow into a bigger plant or even a tree that gives you fruit (or more seeds!) in the future. You're giving up something today for the potential of having more tomorrow. It's about building for the future, even though there's always a chance the seed might not grow as big as you hoped.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5, NIV).

All things considered, Google Blogger has been one of the blogging tools the Lord placed in my heart to use to teach me about simplicity. He directed me to the unorthodox way to get away from the noise of picking a blog/website platform that is free, and many have forgotten about.

Tool #3: YouTube

I had quite a few YouTube accounts that served different purposes, but I felt led to delete a lot of them and create a new one. Now I'm noticing that I'm starting from square one (again!). See, this is a process, and we should embrace it, not get upset or be impatient. There is a lesson God wants us to learn while going through it.

I was wondering why I needed to delete all YouTube channels. Then I felt the need to simplify in order to have peace, less anxiety and overwhelm.

Then I heard this in my spirit, “YouTube has everything you need without using multiple platforms.” Now, think about this. YouTube offers short and long-form videos, a place for posts, a community section, Live videos, and a podcast section.

From this platform, we can share our content to other platforms without the need to spend excessive time on each social media platform which makes it time consuming. There are other ways we can do this, but for now, we will focus on sharing from within the YouTube platform.

These are briefly some of the free platforms that can be used at no cost. We should take advantage of these when we are starting our business. Many of the business owners I know, after so many years in business, still use these free tools.

Free Downloads and Printables to Help You Achieve More

Now, let's go back to creating systems using binders, and those freebies we often find all throughout social media. Let me also remind you that there is nothing wrong with getting these free resources to help you achieve more in your business.

I believe that we can create systems that will bring order in our business if we really use those freebies available to us. The primary purpose for each of the freebies is to help you achieve something, not collect them and never use them. This is where the issue comes from.

Whether you want to fill a regular binder, an A5 planner, or use a Discbound planner, no matter which one we use, the key is to use them! And now that we are on this topic, the BONUS I have for you will bring order not only in business, but also ministry and life.

A woman with glasses and dark hair smiles at the camera while holding two planners, one gold and one white with the word "PLANS" embossed on it, in front of a sheer, draped background.

The System That Keeps Me Organized and Achieve More

I needed order in my life. I needed order for my scattered thoughts. I needed structure.

Do you feel like this sometimes? Maybe, all the time?

I needed something that would help me achieve more without feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or anxious. I needed a system!

Out of desperation, I asked the Lord to bring order. After a series of events, the Lord gave me an idea of creating the Redeem Your Time To-Do List printable as a system to jot down all ideas that come to mind and put them into paper.

I noticed that, using this unique to-do list, I was allocating each task to a specific day. I pick a task from the list of to-do's for the business (content creation), and allocate one task per day. Whether the task took 15 minutes or 5 hours to work on, the list was getting shorter, I'm having momentum, and achieved more this way.

This system allows me to never run out of ideas. Believe me, God has unlimited ideas that are unique to you. It is impossible not to know what to do next. So I want you to get this freebie and its companion the Hour-by-Hour sheet, and watch my YouTube videos here on how to use these freebies.

Final Thoughts

As Kingdom Timekeepers, our goal is to become better stewards of the resources God places in our hands.

Yes, this includes freebies!

How are these making our business journey peaceful? Because it saves us money. This means that because it's saving us money, we can retain more of it to expand the Kingdom here on earth through your business.

This also means that we can help more people become Kingdom Timekeepers and Money Keepers by managing these resources well.

Don't forget to grab your freebies here, and also watch the videos here on how to use these freebies.
